Description

This picture is in honor of a dear friend. She loves to look up at the trees against the sky. But, it's really symbolic of her personality. She and her husband live the daily struggle as caretakers of their adult son with a catastrophic traumatic brain injury. In spite of setbacks, the never-ending emotional grind, and being uprooted from her beloved mountains into the middle of a massive city, she always tries to look up. Sometimes there are clouds, sometimes there is sun, but through it all, there is a beautiful smile (even through tears), and a heart so big and generous that you'd think her chest would explode.
